Privacy

LarkTales makes a picture book from details a parent or gift-giver types in. We do not ask for, upload, or store photographs of children.

We collect the child's first name, age, pronoun, appearance choices (skin tone, hair, glasses), a favorite thing, a short note you write, and the buyer's email. If you create an account we also store a password hash or a Google account link. We store order status, payment references from Polar, and optional ad-measurement fields (UTM parameters and Meta click cookies) if you accept cookies.

We use that information to write and illustrate the book, show it to you, email the preview and the finished book, and prevent abuse. Payment card numbers are handled by Polar, not stored by LarkTales.

Story files live in private storage. Links to images expire. The read-aloud link is a long random token; anyone with it can open that book, so share it only with people who should read it.

You can ask us to delete an order and its files from the contact page. We keep records we are required to keep for taxes and refunds.

If you accept cookies, we may send events to Meta and, if configured, PostHog, so we can see which ads and pages are useful. If you decline, we do not load the Meta pixel or send those events.

LarkTales uses cookies to measure ads and understand which pages help families. You can decline and keep browsing.
